SWANN UP FOR CHALLENGE OF FIRST TIME AT THRUXTON

It's a first time visit for BSB Motostar Rookie Scott Swann this weekend when the BSB series moves to the ultrafast Thruxton circuit.

Situated near Andover in South West England, Thruxton is the fastest circuit on the BSB calendar, with the small Moto3 bikes being flat out for most of the track. Scott is presently lying 8th in the championship just 24 points off a top 5 place. Scott says he's up for the challenge and can't wait to try out the new circuit.

Last weekend at Brands Hatch GP Circuit, saw Scott equal his best finish of 5th place.

We are just back from a sucessfull Brands Hatch BSB weekend. After two dry free practice sessions qualifying started off wet and for the first four or five laps I was lying in 3rd to 4th. The track then started drying and towards the end I got a rear slick in and we ended up 9th standard class. In morning warm up we were very lucky and found out before the race that the clutch had burnt out. I was really disappointed when the first race was called off because of heavy rain I was really looking forward to a wet race. In the first race on Sunday I was involved in a 4 way dice for 7th but on the last couple of laps I made a few mistakes and went over the line 10th. The second race was amazing i got a better start and after a couple of laps we were in a 6 way scrap for 4th place. On the last two laps I made a couple of passes and moved from 8th to 4th but driving to the line Taylor Morten slipstreamed past me and pipped me on the line for 4th. Absolutely loved the racing all weekend with a 10th and 5th and getting closer again to the front group.
